This is a genuine post Second World War West German border guard greatcoat. It is a Loden green coat with a self-coloured half belt and darker green collar. The coat has a pair of collar badges, black and white epaulettes and a sleeve eagle when trimmed with the badges it is very useful as a WWII German uniform.
The detail image shows the collar badge and the stitched on fabric epaulette.
Harrison Ford embarks on his third adventure as Indiana Jones bringing his father along for the ride chasing the Holy Grail attempting to foil Nazi Germany. This coat was used in several sections of the film but perhaps most notable in the book-burning scene.
